The Social Committee invites all Falls residents to join them after Coffee Hour on Tuesday, December 1, for the traditional Christmas Tree trimming event and opportunity to socialize with friends and neighbors. Mary Thornburgh and Nancy Malick are in charge of arrangements. No need to bring anything except your enthusiasm.

Starting in April, Pin Pals will bowl on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Lava Lanes. This schedule will be in effect during Spring and Summer months. Contact Ed Scavinsky for further information. april, The Pin Pals will bowl weekly, at the same time and in the same place. This is recreational (not competitive) bowling. It's also Monte Carlo bowling in which you can win money by getting strikes when certain colored pins or combinations of colored pins are in "winning" positions. Be sure to arrive about 12:45 PM to allow time for paying, renting shoes, etc.

The Trekkers, led by Larry and Mary Thornburgh, will have a Snowshoe Demo and Instruction Day at Swampy Lakes Sno-Park on December 9. All interested and curious Falls residents can meet at the clubhouse at 9:00 a.m. to carpool. Bring snowshoes if you have them, and a folding chair. Larry and Mary will send a list of apparel recommendations closer to the date. The objective is to let people test drive different types of snowshoes in different snow conditions. Then, if you buy or rent snowshoes later, you'll have a better idea of what you prefer. People with experience at showshoeing are encouraged to come, offer advice, and share snowshoes with other who might like to try something different. After about and hour and a half at the Sno-Park, the group will adjourn to the warming shelter called Cascade Lakes Lodge in Bend to eat and chat with friends and neighbors.
